My experiences and work have allowed me to witness radical changes in many people. I am truly amazed at the human ability to heal. My biggest joy is in helping and empowering others in finding their inner strength, peace and unique path.
I work with all ages, individuals, couples and groups on encountering difficulties. Sometimes life can feel overwhelming and insurmountable without a source of support. I can offer an empathetic perspective, motivation and hope. My goal is to set you on a course of optimal balance. One of the fundamental healing factors is balance, which is necessary for life fulfillment.
After helping people through challenges including anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, emotional distress, anger, grief, loss and stress I have seen the powerful effects of finding, restoring and maintaining equilibrium. I use a holistic and integrative approach combining clinical methods with creative therapeutic approaches to help guide you toward becoming centered. All components of life are interconnected and typically small adjustments in one or a few areas have profound effects on your overall quality of life. Finding your optimal balance is a personal process and each individual requires a unique and tailored methodology.

We all arrive at turning points in life, a place in which we realize that our current path no longer suits our needs or reflects our values. A turning point represents a new way to live your life, a fresh perspective that creates new opportunities.
Often, we develop ways of coping with life’s stressors and continue to use these outdated coping methods long after they have lost their purpose. These old ways of managing emotions may consist of addictive patterns of behavior (food, alcohol or other substances, sex, gambling), avoidance of our stressors, depression, anxiety, or loss of sleep or motivation. Perhaps relationships have been damaged or we have adopted negative views of ourselves, others, or the world due to previous life experiences. Who we are today is only one chapter in our story and at any time, we have the power to turn the page and begin a new chapter. I believe in the power of change, and that the capacity for change lies within each of us. Life changes are rarely easy, but the right support can provide a smoother transition process.
I work with teens (13-19) and adults (18 and up) experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, gender identity concerns, family conflict, suicidal thoughts, self-harming behaviors, work/life imbalance, life phase adjustment concerns, unmanaged anger, behavioral addictions, and substance use disorders (whether in recovery or taking first steps toward recovery). My approach combines humanistic-existential, cognitive- behavioral, psychodynamic, and solution-focused brief counseling approaches. I integrate motivational interviewing techniques to create a positive atmosphere of acceptance for all individuals, free from judgment or labels. I offer this integrative approach to the therapy process to reflect the unique needs of each client. Therapy is most effective when it addresses bio-psycho-social wellness – the physical, emotional, and spiritual facets of one’s life. I will listen to your needs and your desired outcome from the therapy process to help you create your ideal plan for recovery and wellness.

I believe each person's life is like a journey that can lead to the experience of wellbeing, resilience, and joy, but the journey can sometimes be difficult. I meet individuals where they are in life. I support them in identifying the barriers preventing them from experiencing wellbeing and resilience in the midst of life's pressures and teach them tools they can develop and use to get where they want to be.
I am passionate about helping individuals recover from traumatic experiences and lead fulfilling lives. As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I have undergone rigorous training and obtained certification in the field of trauma therapy. I possess a deep understanding of the effects of trauma on individuals, families, and communities, and I am equipped with the skills to provide comprehensive support and intervention.
With my expertise, I am adept at assessing, diagnosing, and treating various forms of trauma, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma (cPTSD), and acute stress reactions. I work collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, establishing a safe and non-judgmental environment to facilitate healing and recovery.
One of my key strengths lies in my ability to create personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual's unique needs. I employ evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions to help individuals process their traumatic experiences, manage distressing symptoms, and develop healthy coping strategies. Through a combination of talk therapy, cognitive-behavioral approaches, somatic experiencing, and other trauma-focused modalities, I empower my clients to regain control over their lives and rebuild their resilience.
Moreover, I understand the interconnected nature of trauma and various mental health conditions. I possess a comprehensive knowledge of co-occurring disorders such as anxiety, depression, addiction, and dissociative disorders, allowing me to provide integrated and holistic care to individuals facing multiple challenges.
As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I also play a crucial role in advocating for my clients within the broader social and healthcare systems. I collaborate with other professionals, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, and medical practitioners, to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to trauma treatment. I am a champion of trauma-informed care, actively working to educate organizations, schools, and communities about the impact of trauma and the importance of creating safe and supportive environments.
