Katherine Cordoba, MS, MFT

Welcome and I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Emily Bishop and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Associate with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. My goal as a therapist is to support clients in healing, growth, and self-discovery. I approach my work through a compassionate and social justice-focused lens, empowering clients to draw upon their strengths, values, and resilience to create meaningful change.
In my clinical training, I have experience providing individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and advocacy across diverse settings, including veterinary medicine, sexual assault services, and domestic violence support. I specialize in grief & loss, trauma, burnout, interpersonal conflicts, and life transitions. My experiences have deepened my commitment to trauma-informed, client-centered care. I view therapy as a partnership where your insight and lived experience guide the process, and my role is to walk alongside you with support and understanding.
I utilize an eclectic approach, drawing on components of evidence-based modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I strive to create a collaborative and inclusive space where all individuals feel seen, supported, and respected.
