MS, CSW
My name is Laurel Leahy. I am currently a graduate student in the Master of Social Work (MSW) program at Tulane University. As an MSW intern, I am passionate about helping clients recognize their strengths, navigate challenges, and develop skills that support their emotional well-being and personal growth. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and emotional and behavioral challenges. I also have experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual and developmental disabilities, which has strengthened my interest in supporting individuals with diverse needs and abilities. I strive to create a supportive, welcoming, and collaborative therapeutic environment where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves and working toward goals that are meaningful to them. I believe in meeting clients where they are and recognizing the unique experiences, strengths, and needs that each person brings to therapy. I am passionate about helping clients build healthy coping skills, increase confidence, strengthen relationships, and work toward meaningful and lasting change.
