MS, MFT
My name is Katherine Cordoba. I am currently a graduate student in the Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) program at Liberty University. As an MFT intern, I am dedicated to helping clients identify their strengths, overcome challenges, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. I draw on years of experience working with military-connected populations. I have worked with individuals, couples, and families navigating the unique challenges associated with military life, including deployment, relocations, family transitions, relationship stress, reintegration, and resilience building. I am committed to creating a supportive, collaborative, and culturally responsive therapeutic environment where clients feel understood and empowered. I welcome individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. I am passionate about supporting each client’s unique journey toward healing and well-being.
Welcome and I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Emily Bishop and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Associate with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. My goal as a therapist is to support clients in healing, growth, and self-discovery. I approach my work through a compassionate and social justice-focused lens, empowering clients to draw upon their strengths, values, and resilience to create meaningful change.
In my clinical training, I have experience providing individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and advocacy across diverse settings, including veterinary medicine, sexual assault services, and domestic violence support. I specialize in grief & loss, trauma, burnout, interpersonal conflicts, and life transitions. My experiences have deepened my commitment to trauma-informed, client-centered care. I view therapy as a partnership where your insight and lived experience guide the process, and my role is to walk alongside you with support and understanding.
I utilize an eclectic approach, drawing on components of evidence-based modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I strive to create a collaborative and inclusive space where all individuals feel seen, supported, and respected.
